Previously, the PRMS Reporting Tool was limited to mapping a single result to only one specific outcome or output of the Theory of Change (TOC) for each Initiative. However, the tool's latest update introduces enhanced functionality. Now, it is possible to map a single result to multiple outcomes or outputs across various Work Packages (only 1 per Work Package) within the same Initiative.

How does this new functionality work?

To facilitate the understanding of this new functionality in the PRMS Reporting Tool, we have prepared the following example with a video.

<aside> 💡 Brief explanation:

• The example in the video below shows INIT-24 as responsible for aligning an Output result to their TOC. Keep in mind that the same behavior applies to Outcome results.
• Within the "2. Theory of Change" section, after selecting "Yes" to the question: "Are you able to match your reported result to a planned result in this Initiative's Theory of Change?" you will see a "tab" for the first TOC output. In this tab is where you can select the outputs to be mapped to the result. This is already in the current system, but we are now adding the capability to add more mappings using the “+ button”.
• As you will observe, upon selecting the output, the system will prompt you for mapping details (please refrain from discussing the TOC indicators section here, as it is currently undergoing restructuring through another process).
• If you wish to select another output from another Work Package, simply click the “+ button” to add a new one.
• In that new tab, you can only select outputs from other Work Packages that were not previously chosen. </aside>
