We are happy to share the latest updates made to the Innovation Development indicator category in the PRMS, based on the changes led by the IPSR Team. These improvements aim to enhance data accuracy and streamline the reporting process. Below is a summary of the key updates, along with relevant screenshots for each change:

1. New demand field for anticipated Innovation users

   A new field has been added for indicating what demand/problem the innovation addresses for the user. It applies to actors, organizations and other quantitative units of measure.

   

2. New field for expected contribution to CGIAR Megatrends

   We have introduced a new field to capture how innovations align with and contribute to CGIAR Megatrends, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals. Multiple selections are allowed.

   

3. New alert for drops in Readiness Level

   To improve monitoring, an automatic alert will now be triggered if the readiness level of an innovation decreases. This ensures that any backward progress is immediately flagged.

   

4. Updated text options for responsible innovation and scaling

   The text options for the second "Responsible Innovation and Scaling" question have been updated, specifically concerning unintended negative consequences. These changes improve clarity and help in providing more accurate responses.

   

5. PDF question removed

   The question regarding the creation of a glossy PDF has been removed, but the Reference Materials field remains available to capture supporting documents.

   

6. New tick box for “Innovation Readiness” evidence

   A new tick box has been added for "Innovation Readiness" evidence, allowing users to indicate whether relevant supporting materials are provided to demonstrate the readiness of the innovation. It is mandatory to provide at least one piece of evidence for Innovation Readiness, except in cases where the readiness level is 0.

   

Annual Updating

All Innovation Development results reported in the previous phase have been replicated by the system admin to the current Reporting Phase (2024). Therefore, the Annual Updating form should now be populated in the General Information section for all these results. Please see below for some updates made to the Annual Updating form:

• For inactive innovations, the answer options have been updated according to the IPSR Team's instructions.

  

• For active innovations, a new guidance box has been added to provide clear instructions for updating the innovation package.
