In preparation for the re-opening of the PRMS Reporting tool, we have implemented an important improvement, as suggested by PPU. Now, users of the PRMS Reporting tool can accurately map results to TOC indicators ensuring more precise TOC mapping.

In the “2. Theory of Change” section has been included the option to report progress against multiple targets per indicator, aligning with the functionality now available in the TOC tool.

Reporting against TOC indicators

Previously, results mapping against TOC was limited to selecting only Work Package Outcomes, End of Initiative Outcomes, and Work Package Outputs. However, we have now enhanced this process to provide more detailed mapping. When any of these ToC elements are selected, their corresponding list of indicators will be displayed, allowing users to specify the contribution to their targets if applicable.

Please see the following 2 steps to report progress against TOC indicators:

1.Go to the “2. Theory of Change” section of your result and map it to a TOC result (Work Package Outcome/Work Package output/EOI-Outcome) of your initiative.

2.Once the TOC result of your initiative is selected, below it will be listed its TOC indicators with all their information and their targets to report progress against them.

First, the general information of the indicators will be displayed as shown in the screenshot below.

Then, the targets of the indicator are listed with their measurement data and the results contributing to them as shown in the screenshot below.

Rules to take into consideration:

• If the indicator type doesn’t match with the result type, users will be blocked to report progress against the targets of the indicator.
• If the answer to the “Have you achieved the target of this indicator?” question is Yes, the target contribution from the result being reported will be 1 by default, but can be updated.
• If the answer to the “Have you achieved the target of this indicator?” question is No, the target contribution from the result being reported will be 0 by default, but can be updated.
• If your result framework has defined a target value with a unit of measurement other than numbers, PRMS will prompt you to indicate the contribution to the quantitative indicator using a text box instead of numbers.
